The scientists will focus on marine viruses and other tiny life called protists and their roles in the food chain. These organisms prey on bacteria, a primary food that sustains the vent ecosystem.Some friends/colleagues of mine are involved in this adventure and it sounds like some cool stuff could come out of it.
