Id rather them have funny Mickey Mouse ideas but accept evolution then balk and go back into straight-up Creationism.Bora Zivkovichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10763808287050592569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10781944.post-29689437651515839442008-08-25T15:29:00.000-07:002008-08-25T15:29:00.000-07:00Yes, sure, it is an imperfect lesson. Even if the example is imperfect it seems the drawing in workedJonathan Eisenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07953790938128734305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10781944.post-85095607733012778242008-08-25T15:24:00.000-07:002008-08-25T15:24:00.000-07:00OK, I see. Everyone thinks of Mickey as an individual who changes over time, even myself. So even if the metaphor is correct, it misleads the unprepared mind and I do not see Campbell preparing it.Bora Zivkovichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10763808287050592569noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10781944.post-40859131797189444552008-08-25T10:16:00.000-07:002008-08-25T10:16:00.000-07:00I disagree. If you looked at ALL of the drawings of Mickey and all of the concepts of Mickey - you would see populations and you would even see some forms coexisting in time and space.Jonathan Eisenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07953790938128734305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10781944.post-41045475138146607272008-08-25T10:13:00.000-07:002008-08-25T10:13:00.000-07:00It's not intelligent design, but it is not evoluti...It's not intelligent design, but it is not evolution either. It is metamorphosis. Populations evolve, individuals metamorphose.Bora Zivkovichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10763808287050592569noreply@blogger.com
