Thank you for sharing the information, despite the fact that you're not in support of it. However, I would really like to understand why you're not supporting this walkout. What would you call 'clearer points'? How would you add more coherency to it?
Thank you in advance.
Regards from Canada.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10781944.post-82688543686266057912009-09-17T15:18:25.381-07:002009-09-17T15:18:25.381-07:00Absolutely - right to strike is a fundamental righ...Absolutely - right to strike is a fundamental right. I have walked/assisted in many over the years. But that does not mean I have tu like this walkout nor does it mean I have to support it. This walkout rings hollow compared to strikes I have supported in the past - such as striking clerical workers at Harvard, etc. I think the arguments for this walkout are not coherent enough to support it. Not saying I love the things happening at UC - but I want to save my walkouts for things where there is a clearer point.Jonathan Eisenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07953790938128734305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10781944.post-77952485940157799002009-09-17T15:13:36.644-07:002009-09-17T15:13:36.644-07:00Right to strike is a fundamental rightRight to strike is a fundamental rightAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10781944.post-36801508733928166782009-09-09T16:57:38.986-07:002009-09-09T16:57:38.986-07:00Wouldn't it be great if the UC up and fired th...Wouldn't it be great if the UC up and fired the strikers?

I'm certain there are dozens of postgrads who would interview for the freed up positions.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
